Sedimentary Environment: marine, anaerobic Significant Features: lamination, preferred orientation, organic content Geology: This shale is characterized by a sparce, low diversity epifauna (mainly bivalves) (Morris, 1979, 1980). The macro- and microfabrics are characterized by well preserved laminae and parallelism of particles indicating an absence of bioturbation. The organic content indicates preservation of organics under anoxic conditions.
